Hiding power of leather colour

Hiding power describes how well colour masks the underlying shade. Check it on a dry sample and distinguish coverage from adhesion.

Meaning

Hiding power is a colour coat's ability to visually cover the shade underneath. It is different from adhesion: an opaque coat may still lie on an unsuitable or poorly prepared surface.

During repair

Check coverage after a thin coat has dried. Add coats only as needed and according to instructions. A large light-to-dark or dark-to-light change can alter the required system. One thick coat is not a dependable shortcut. Base quantity estimates on a comparable test area.

Check product suitability and follow the instructions before use.
