Contents:
- 30ml leather degreaser
- 30ml Porsche leather paint
- 30ml leather sealant
- 10ml liquid leather neutral / colorless
- 1 sanding pad
- 1 plastic spatula
- 1 sponge
- 2 nonwoven cloths
Before refreshing the color, the leather should always be cleaned with our Leather Cleaner and thoroughly degreased with Leather Degreaser. For scratches, abrasions, and minor fading, the original Porsche leather color can be refreshed with our Leather Dye. Deep scratches, cracks, and similar damage can be permanently repaired with our Liquid Leather Repair. The Liquid Leather Repair is flexible once dry. After dyeing the leather with Leather Dye, we recommend sealing and conditioning the leather. The sealing protects against further wear and abrasion, and the conditioning prevents the leather from deteriorating and protects against fading.
Our leather dye refreshes the original color. It is opaque and abrasion-resistant.
For color changes we recommend using a spray gun.
Always test all products first in an inconspicuous area for changes or color accuracy!
Application:
1. Leather degreaser
Lightly moisten a clean cloth with the leather degreaser and wipe over the greasy areas. Especially with open leather (suede, aniline leather, etc.), only briefly wipe the cloth over the leather to avoid marks and stains. Not all greasy areas can be completely removed. After cleaning with the leather degreaser, the leather must be re-protected with the leather sealant.
2. Liquid leather
Open the tube and fill the damaged areas with the liquid leather. Spread the liquid leather evenly with a spatula. Then let it dry for 1-2 hours, depending on the fill level. Repeat this process until the repair area is as smooth and filled as possible.
With larger damage, it's sometimes impossible to achieve a nice, even, and smooth surface using filler alone. Such damaged areas then require further refinishing. Liquid leather, however, cannot be dry-sanded. This would damage the repaired area.
If the repair needs to be smoothed, this can be done with solvent, acetone, or nail polish remover. The solvent dissolves the top layer of the repair compound, making the surface easier to rework. You can use a latex glove, lightly moisten your index finger, and use it to gently smooth the repair. Alternatively, you can also rework the repair with a sanding pad. Both methods are used to smooth a repair. Always work carefully and use a small amount of solvent. If you work too wet, the repair will blur. This way, you can remodel a repair until you are satisfied with the result.
Liquid leather repairs must be color-matched with leather dye to compensate for any color and shine differences. To ensure adequate coverage, the leather dye should be applied several times, drying with a hairdryer in between coats. Then, seal and condition the leather one day later.
3. Porsche leather paint
Apply Porsche Leather Paint evenly to the affected areas from seam to seam using a sponge or spray gun and dry with a hairdryer. For small areas, applying it to the affected area is sufficient. Only treat areas with color changes. If high coverage is required, apply the leather paint in several thin coats, drying with a hairdryer between coats.
4. Leather sealing
Apply a thin layer of leather sealant with a soft cloth and allow it to dry without polishing. One coat is sufficient. For heavily used surfaces, repeat every three months.
