How to use leather repair kit M correctly
Set M is the most balanced option for most typical repairs: It combines degreasing, 10 ml of liquid leather black, leather dye black, sealing and accessories in a coordinated process.
When is Set M the right choice?
Don't simply treat with Set M
Large or open tears, holes with material loss, damaged seams, brittle leather or unstable backing material first require a sound professional repair.
Important: For simple color abrasion, the liquid leather is not needed. It should only be applied to an actual, noticeable indentation or a suitable small crack.
S, M or L – what's the difference?
Paint, liquid leather, and accessories. Useful if cleaning, degreasing, and protection are already in place.
Additionally, degreaser and sealant. For most repairs, the best compromise.

Application in 7 clear steps
Check material and color
Assume pigmented smooth leather and test the black tone and gloss level on a hidden area.
Clean and dry
Remove dirt and cleaning product residue. Allow the surface to dry completely.
Degreasing and preparing
Carefully remove grease, silicone and care product residues, and gently smooth only loose or hard edges.
Only fill true depressions
Apply liquid leather sparingly in thin layers. Do not apply it over large areas of intact leather.
Dry and smooth
Allow each layer to dry sufficiently and only reapply a thin layer if necessary.
Apply leather dye thinly
Apply several very thin layers of paint and allow the transitions to blend out in a controlled manner.
Seal and allow to harden
After complete drying, apply the sealant thinly and only put normal stress on the surface again after sufficient drying.
30 or 50 ml?
30 ml
For smaller repair areas, a typical limited seat bolster, or several small spots.
50 ml
For larger areas, multiple repair spots, or additional reserves for several thin coats of paint.
More content means greater reach – not more repair capacity. Deep, open damage cannot be repaired by applying a larger amount of paint.
Material limits
The standard application does not apply to Alcantara, nubuck, suede, nubuck, or open-pore aniline leather. Treat coated synthetic leather only after a concealed compatibility test.
Regarding vehicle leather: A universal black paint can differ in undertone and gloss level from the original manufacturer's color. For the most inconspicuous repairs, check the actual color tone beforehand.
