BMW leather color Beige Nevada: Repairing wear and tear and refreshing leather
Nevada beige is a light BMW interior color. Paint abrasion, denim stains, and worn door sills become particularly visible here very quickly.
Is Beige Nevada the right shade?
Nevada refers to a BMW leather type; Beige to the corresponding color scheme. The color name, leather type, equipment code, and model year must match. Aging, care, and exposure to light can alter the shade and gloss level. Therefore, test on a protected, original area and inconspicuously first.
Important: Photos and screens are not reliable color references. If in doubt, use the BMW color guide first.
What quantity is appropriate?
- 30 ml: small abrasions
- 50 ml: typical seat cheek or several spots
- 100 ml: larger sections of a seat
- 150 ml: Complete front seat as a guideline
Application
- Check material and damage.
- Clean thoroughly and dry.
- Degrease and carefully mattify shiny areas.
- Repair any cracks or depressions before dyeing.
- Apply the paint in several thin layers.
- Allow to dry and seal any damaged areas appropriately.
Special features of Beige Nevada
First, thoroughly clean light-colored leather surfaces. Do not simply dye over stains or denim abrasion, as this can impair the result and adhesion.
Suitable – and when not?
Suitable for many pigmented BMW smooth leathers and, depending on the product, coated synthetic leather surfaces. Not suitable for Alcantara, suede, nubuck, or open-pore aniline leather. Open seams, larger holes, and brittle leather require a different repair method.
