Using leather repair filler
The correct approach depends on leather type, finish and damage. Test an inconspicuous area first and check whether the surface is coated or absorbent.
Using leather repair filler
For coated leather, a typical sequence is cleaning, degreasing, filling minor defects where necessary, applying thin colour coats and sealing after adequate drying. Several thin coats usually work better than one thick coat.
Deep tears, brittle leather or damaged seams cannot be solved by cosmetic recolouring alone.
